I know I've been lagging. Okay, I haven't done anything with this blog since I signed up for it.

But I just remember something that's worth mentioning, Five Pointz.

The GF and I went to NY for our anniversary. Since I'd been there before and I absolutely love the city I was really excited to show her around. One of the places I was most excited about was Five Pointz. It was very disappointing to see the pieces that were up this time. I visited the place before in the Spring of '08 and it was totally astonishing. This time, I was bored. It lacked creativity. There was probably only a handful of places that were worth staring at for more than 5 seconds. Anywho...

Thai Buddhist Temple

After a long night of partying there's nothing better to settle to your stomach like a nice bowl of noodles or maybe some yellow chicken curry (mmm, chicken).

Sunday mornings the Thai Buddhist Temple in Berkeley serves up some healthy portions of bomb Thai food which brings in tons of people; this has created some issues for the temple.
(For more info http://savethethaitemple.com/)

The prices are more than decent and you know you're on a budget after spending all your money on drinks the night before (or maybe getting over charged on your tab, which you didn't realized until you sobered up the next morning). You can get rice and 1 side for $5, 2 sides for $6, or 3 sides for $7. Drinks are only a dolla! Both the Thai tea and Thai coffee are on point! They're perfect!

Or you can also get yourself a mean bowl of noodles with all the fixins starting at $6. They also serve dessert, mango and sticky rice seems to be a favorite.

Hit up the temple. It's affordable and you'll be supporting a good cause, all profits go to the Temple.*

*It does get hella vanilla. :/
